The Bible has a lot to say about men and women and their relationship. According to Genesis God instituted marriage, and Jesus referenced back to this account when asked about divorce. Proverbs contains much wisdom on the subject of marriage, and the Apostle Paul had quite a bit to say (sometimes giving personal opinions, sometimes speaking for God).
Several years ago I started collecting references and typing them out to make a document I could give as part of a wedding gift, with the suggestion that it be read together periodically for a reminder of basic principles. That document, modified for the web, is what you have before you. The passages seemed to divide themselves into sections, and those sections are presented here as separate pages.
The Psalmist said "Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path," Ps. 119:105. May these Words light your way around some of the snares and pitfalls so that your marriage will be successful.
